1.
RESIDENTS

People live in an area where there are species worthy of special protection. Only with their help can the protection of a species succeed. But who helps the people?

2.

ABORIGINALS

The people belong to an indigenous group. Indigenous peoples are threatened worldwide and often live under the poverty grunt. We respect their culture.

3.
REFUGEES

People have been displaced by violent conflicts and want to build a new existence in their home country.

Who do we want to help?
We help people below the poverty line who meet these criteria:

Project:

Fermentation

Nyang

Takamanda Park

Support our project: Better harvest for farmers in war zone

Fermentation boxes are used to improve and preserve the cocoa harvest. With these boxes, the civil war-torn cocoa farmers of Nyang can achieve a better market price for their produce and lift themselves out of poverty.

1.
TECHNICAL

Means of production help to build a livelihood. But even simple things are not affordable for the poor. We help with nature-friendly solutions.

2.
KNOW-HOW

It's hard to master a new technology without training. We bring agricultural experts into communities and train residents on the equipment.

3.
SUPPORT

Often, the difficulties of switching to new work technology do not become apparent until later. It is important that we do not leave people alone afterwards.

How do we want to help?
To create a secure income.

Solar drier

Food security

solar drier kekpani
solar drier

We build solar driers, who are easy to use. The UV-light gets in the drier and heats it up. Air circulation makes sure, that moisture gets out and harvest can be dried in 3-7 hours.

The drier has a capacity of 2.2 tons and fits for the need of one complete village in a biodiversity hotspot.

To insure a sustainable use of this facility, we train the farmers in a sequel of sessions.

With one drier the community can increase productivity up to 10%. This means 10% more income every year.

fermentation boxes

Poor farmer use pile fermenation for their crop. They pile up fruits under leafs on the ground. This method leads to damages of the crop by insects. Missing air condition deterioats fermentation. With these simple wooden boxes farmers receive much better results.

Fermentation boxes are needed to conservate fruits and to improve taste.

 SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

“Well, it´s raining in the rain forest. No big surprise, but for the people living there it has some negative effects. If you want to dry your harvest it´s simply not possible, because of the rain. This leads to crop loss. To improve this situation, farmers need a place to dry their fruits to keep them save”

ACCEPTED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES

“Many good ideas don´t work in Africa, because the local people don´t understand the benefit or technic. This projct has the support of the local chiefs, who like to implement it. It made noise in the bush.”
