Teaching refugee children in a crisis area. The students are also residents of endangered species habitats. Many have been missing the school routine for years. We playfully promote their skills and understanding of the environment.

twc education puzzle

Conservation education and awareness rising. the students are residents to habitats of endangered species. They learn to compare similarities and differences. Great apes are social beings, who like living together in groups, appreciating proximity and friendly cooperation besides a save sleeping place, learning from each other.

Students shall recognise, name and show impact of interplay between human actions and environmental changes for men and animals.

We designed learning stations for seven groups. The stations cover characteristics, habitat, nutrition, tools, social behaviour, threats and protection of endangered species. Kids shall complete one station in 25-35min and then rotate to the next level.

gorilla game 2
gorilla game

Promotion of social skills and motor‐driven skills. The game shall communicate the need of social interaction to the students. It is not possible to win this game alone. It only can be won with the help of the teammates. Strong kids learn, they need to cooperate with the weak to win.
During the games ‘progress students see, that it is not easy for the gorillas to get together for pairing, when people block their way. Kids actively take on
responsibility for the protection of gorillas and notice the need of conservation areas.

Our gorilla game has a serious background. Students do learn that gorillas need corridors to find each other. Gorilla girl and gorilla boy can only be safe in the sanctuary.

STRONG TEAM

“To carry out the mobile classroom the tearchers have to travel to remote areas. They have to deal with new classes up to 70 kids in a very short period of time. Some of these kids don´t know the national language and need translation. To manage such a situation you have to be the best teacher of the world”
